There are two method to clean the printer ink jet head, in this article, I will tell you how to clean the printer ink jet head.
Method one: Use print tool kit to clean the ink jet head.
1. Click the button in the left bottom on your computer in turn: ”Start”→”Setup” →”Print & Fax” ,find your printer type, right click, choose ” Print Preferences”.
2. In ” Print Preferences” window, click “Service” →”Maintain This Device”, click “Clean The Print Cartridge” button in the window popped up. Or click “Function” →”Printer Service” in turn in the “Print Preferences” window.
3. Click “Clean” button in the “Clean The Print Cartridge”.
4. The AIO begin to print cleaning page, and clean the cartridge automatically, it will make a machine noise from the inside of the AIO, until the power light of the AIO turn bright, and the sound disappeared, the cleaning process is finished.
Note: It will consume some ink when clean the cartridge. Normally, the slight jam of the ink jet head can be solved after one cleaning process. If the ink jet head is jammed seriously, try 1-2 times cleaning process, and do not exceed 3 times, as it will consume too much ink.
Method two: Clean the metal contact of cartridge.
If the ink jet head has a bad contact with the pedestal, it will affect the quality of the print. When this situation happened, try to clean the ink jet head and pedestal.
1. Remove the ink jet head from the printer.
2. Use a dry Meditech cleaning swab to clean the electric contact of the ink jet head pedestal.
3. Use a dry wipe to clean the electric contact of the ink jet head. You just need to rub it one time as it may damage the electric contact. And do not try to rub the ink jet head.
4. Reinstall the ink jet.
