It is recommended to clean your Fargo DTC4500 card printer when you change your ribbon. All you need is a Meditech long cleaning cardcompatible with Fargo DTC4500.Steps for cleaning Fargo DTC4500:
1.First, remove the cards from the hopper.
2.Remove the ribbon cartridge, once you successfully remove the printer ribbon, it is time to reinsert the cartridge.
3.Open the package of the cleaning card, and insert the alcohol cleaning card into the slot where you would normally put the PVC cards.
4.Once you have inserted the card into the printer, get your devices and printers option in the start menu on the computer. Choose your DTC 4500, and choose print preference. Now click on the toolbox tab and then click the cleaning tab at the top. Then the card should start to go to the printer.
5.The card does not automatically get in the printer, give it a slight nudge send it to get in. Once the printer done cleaning, the card will eject.
